Europ’Esthetic Sud-Ouest
A company I created and ran alone, no employees, across 4 countries. P&L, marketing, web, inventory.
Context
Europ’Esthetic Sud-Ouest distributes medical-aesthetics equipment (light therapy, radiofrequency, ultrasound devices) to beauty professionals and healthcare practitioners in France, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium.
I created it in 2020 and ran it as Managing Director until 2023, with full P&L ownership. The company never had a single employee: I was the structure.
Solo across 4 countries
Holding four markets with nobody to delegate to means carrying acquisition, supplier negotiation, cash flow, purchasing, inventory and after-sales service. The daily question was where to put the time so you stop fighting the same fires indefinitely.
Acquisition and operations
I structured acquisition: direct prospecting, WordPress site SEO, targeted email campaigns segmented by market and country. I negotiated supplier agreements and strategic contracts with European partners.
I managed cash flow, purchasing, inventory and after-sales service.
The bottom line
The company stayed profitable from the first year to the last, from founding it in 2020 to my departure in 2023.
Why I stopped
The company was running when I left it. I moved to Switzerland, where my partner lived, and I grew attached to the country. Relocating the structure there was far from straightforward, and after two or three years running a company alone through Covid, I needed something else. I still live here.
Highlights
- ~€400K annual revenue, profitable every year
- 4 countries served from one structure: France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium
- Full P&L carried solo, from acquisition to after-sales
The takeawayFor three years no decision went any higher than me, from acquisition to after-sales, across all four countries at once.
